Stanley Cup Preview: Oilers vs. Hurricanes

West vs. East, 1st vs. 8th, rookie goaltender vs. veteran goaltender, dry humidity vs. just plain muggy, speed vs. grit....

Unlike the Buffalo-Carolina series, this series could not be any more opposition. We all knew that this Eastern series would go 7 games. Anyone else thinking otherwise was on crack. Now for my series analysis.

Series Breakdown: AND THE EDGE GOES TO...

Offense: Carolina
Why?: Let's be honest...since Edmonton has started the playoffs, the series just look more and more slower and painstakingly like Minny Wild hockey. Carolina has 3 deep scoring lines and one grinding lines to give the rest of the boys rest

Defense: Edmonton
Why?: Hmm... let's see...Pronger, Smith, Bergeron, Staios, Spacek...size, speed, grit...Carolina has Hedican, Welsey, Kaberle, Wallin....slow, old and chicken shit b/c they don't block shots like Edmonton

Special Team: Edmonton
Why?: Both teams PP are mediocre, but PK wise, Edmonton's boys would block bullets to stop a goal

Goaltending: Even
Why?: Unless Rolly is sick or rolls over dead, both guys can hold it together... Edmonton has experience, Carolina has depth...but u only need one goalie to win in the playoffs...two is only if u have guys that choke, and i don't see Rollie doing that anytime soon

Winner: Edmonton in 6 games

Why?: Edmonton will win the close games, 2 will go into overtime...i'm soo cocky i will break down the series in detail for u

U.S.'s Supermax: Florence, Colorado

ADX Florence is a 575-bed facility that generally houses between 400 and 500 male prisoners. About 22 percent of inmates have killed fellow prisoners in other correctional facilities; 35 percent have attempted to attack other prisoners or officers. As a result, most individuals are kept for at least 23 hours each day in solitary confinement. They are housed in a 7-by-12 foot (3.5-by-2 meter) soundproofed room, built behind a steel door and grate. The remaining free hour is spent exercising alone in a separate concrete chamber. Prisoners rarely see each other, and inmates' only human interaction is limited to that of the correctional officers. Religious services are broadcast in from a small chapel.

Most cells' furniture is made almost entirely out of poured concrete, including a desk, stool, and bed covered by a thin mattress. Each chamber contains a toilet that shuts off if plugged, a shower that runs on a timer to prevent flooding, and a sink missing a potentially dangerous tap. Rooms may also be fitted with polished steel mirrors bolted to the wall, an electric light, a 13-inch black and white television that shows only educational programming, which not all inmates are allowed to have, and a cigarette lighter. Windows in rooms are small, set high up in the wall, and point towards the sky, confusing the prisoner as to his specific location within the complex.

The prison as a whole contains countless motion detectors and cameras, 1,400 remote-controlled steel doors, and 12-foot high razor wire fences. Laser beams, pressure pads, and attack dogs that are trained to attack and silently guard the area between the prison walls and razor wire.

Now...being that the Harper Government is so adament about building at least one of these, does anyone even know if Canada currently has anything remotely as close as the one in Florence, Colorado. We can have our own Alcatraz of the Rockies, or even better, Alcatraz of the Artic. Instead of espaced convicts drowning to death, they'll just freeze to death!

Hedy Fry vs. Hans Moleman

For those of you that don't know who Hans Moleman...he's a 4'4" 140-lb mole-like man with extremely bad luck. Although apparently elderly, he claims to be only thirty-one. He has cartaracts and is almost entirely blind, and has used medical marijuana.

As for the Liberal MP and party leader candidate, Hedy Fry, well for those of you that know or have met Fry, this is a match made in heaven. How old really is she? Many times it's hard to tell. Both Hans and Hedy are in support of the use of MJ, and both are somewhat blind (see any burning crosses?).

Now picture this....Hans Moleman running for President of the United States of America. Ya i know...

What the deuce is Harper's government thinking. Haven't Natives suffered enough since Europeans invaded their homeland? Now the current federal government has decided to screw them for another 100 years by throwing out the Kelowna Accord. Look outside the urban landscape and you will see that first nations racism hasn't really improved while aboriginal neglect has taken a drastic increase.

Take a look at Premier Campbell's fight for their future. We need a united stand to this appauling policy that the Conservatives have taken. ..and what's w/ the policy to give natives GST exemption, but yet they have to go thru so much trouble to obtain their product? SHAME SHAME I SAY...what an insult to Canadian values.

BTW, FYI the band in charge of North Vancouver can legally shut down the Lions Gate Bridge? Think about that during your rush hour commute.
